Lisa and Tony are the owner of L'ancien Presbytere, a working small holding and B&B situated in Haute Vienne in the Limousin region of France, noted for it beautiful lush fields, forests and many lakes. We have a range of rooms from couples ( double ) to Family up to 6.
As the name suggests the property is very old and used to be a presbytery. We suspect that it dates from the 15th century but cannot be certain.
Since purchasing the ruins in 2006 she has been lovingly restored by Lisa and Tony trying where possible to keep as many original features. Outside the property has a walled garden with summer above ground swimming pool, leading to the small holding where there are poultry, sheep, pigs, a couple of cows and a few thousand bees.
We offer a range of rooms from a standard double to a family room for 6 all year round.
We are looking to barter our accommodation in return for gardening and landscaping skills.
Our plans are to re-establish a veg garden with raised beds. Repair some fencing, terrance and landscape a small bank of land. Build some small shelters for the sheep and storing the small tractor and tools.
